Engineering graduates of German universities are prized for their independent and systematic approach to solving technical tasks. This is achieved through self-management of organization and learning. The students manage their timetable and choose their subjects by themselves. The lectures are supported by homework, presentations and labs. The students learn to solve technical problems under continuous guidance and advice from an academic coordination office along with other Ph.D. and Master students under the supervision of experienced professors at the Technical University of Berlin.

In Germany there is the semester-system. The winter term starts in the middle of October, and ends at the end of February. The summer term starts in the middle of April and ends in the middle of July. But the time between the semesters must be used efficiently – for 1-week-compact-lectures, for examens, exercises, practical intercourse … and, of course, for a little holiday!

The way of doing lectures is typical for Germany. You get a list of your lectures and have to manage your own timetable. A typical lecture is 90 minutes, but needs preparation, rework and homework. During your studies you will work with students with different backgrounds, mechanical engineering, chemial engineering, information technology… During the first semster coursework in English is offered – beside the language course. After the first semester you will be able to attend and understand the German tought courses.
